Apple Developer Program

Third-party fee
$99/yearpaid directly to Apple

Apple charges every developer this to publish to iPhone, TestFlight, and the App Store. It's paid straight to Apple — we never touch it and add no markup.

  • Required by Apple for every app on the store
  • Your account, in your name — apps stay yours
  • Not a Paludis charge — no markup from us
  • Enroll once at developer.apple.com

To be clear: $49.99 is what you pay Paludis, once, per app. Apple's $99/year is a separate charge you pay Apple directly — we never touch it and add no markup.

Questions, answered straight

The things people ask before they start. If yours isn't here, you'll find us friendly.

What does it actually cost?

Paludis is a one-time $49.99 per app — no subscription. The only other cost is Apple's $99/year Developer fee, which you pay directly to Apple. That's everything: no markups, no surprise charges.

Is my Apple account safe? Do you get my password?

We never see your Apple password and can't sign in to your account. You connect with an App Store Connect API key you create yourself and can revoke in Apple's console anytime. We store it encrypted and use it only to build, sign, and upload your apps.

What if I want to leave — do I keep my app?

Yes. Every app is published under your own Apple Developer account, so it's yours end to end: the app, the listing, and your users. Disconnect Paludis whenever you like and it all stays with you.

Do I need a Mac, Xcode, or any coding knowledge?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and the builds run on Expo's cloud Macs — so it works exactly the same on Windows. You never touch Swift, Xcode, or the command line.

Is this a real native app, or just my website in a wrapper?

It's a real native iOS app, generated with Expo and built through Apple's own toolchain. It installs from the App Store, gets its own icon and splash screen, and runs full-screen with no browser bars.

Will Apple actually approve it?

We build a genuine native app and walk you through the listing details Apple looks for, so it goes into review in good shape. Apple makes the final call on every app — but we're with you through submission, and if anything comes back we help you understand it and resubmit.

What happens when I update my website?

Your app loads your live site, so most content and design changes show up in the app automatically — no rebuild and no resubmission. You'd only need a fresh build for things like a new name, icon, or native setting.

How long does the whole thing take?

Once your Apple account is enrolled (Apple's approval takes about 24–48 hours), generating an app and shipping it to TestFlight is about ten minutes of hands-on time. We handle the build and upload in the background.
